Mexico Education Center

Mexico Education Center, located in the Hart Career Center, is the district's secondary level alternative school. The program can serve approximately 40 students with small class sizes, a reduced schedule, specialized lessons and family based relationships between students and staff. Students are selected quarterly through an interview process and must engage in a high level of learning as determined by state and national standards. Our primary instruction is provided through on-line curriculum coursework and students are required to participate in all components of the program. In addition, the Center offers the Missouri Options Program that enables qualified students the opportunity to participate in a work setting and pass the HiSET to obtain a high school diploma. Mexico Education Center takes pride in the excellence of learning and assisting students with the goal of graduation. We invite you to visit our school.

The Mexico Public School District offers a temporary out of school placement program entitled A.C.E.R. This program allows students the opportunity to attend class during school hours while assigned out of school suspension. Students can complete work and obtain credit during this break in the regular school setting. This program is also located at the Hart Career Center.
