Five individuals have filed as candidates for the Mexico Public Schools #59 Board of Education. The candidates’ names will be placed on the April general election ballot in the order of filing:

• Joshua Price

• Erik Richardson

• Jon Calhoun

• Scott Nichols

• Julia Lindsay

On April 8, 2025, patrons will choose two candidates to serve three-year terms. 

The election will determine the outcome for two seats of current board members, Scott Nichols and Nicole Jahn, whose terms expire. 

The newly-elected members will serve alongside Jessica Ekern, Michelle Stephens, Chris Williams, Lennette Brown, and Mathew Pilger. 

Certification of election results and board reorganization will take place at the April Board of Education meeting.
