April 4, 2025 – Tuesday, April 8 is Election Day for Mexico Public Schools Board of Education and the City of Mexico City Council. Polls open at 6 AM and close at 7 PM.

KXEO interviewed the school board and city council candidates on air:

Five candidates have filed for two open seats on our school board. They will be listed on the ballot in the order of filing:

• Joshua Price

• Erik Richardson

• Jon Calhoun

• Scott Nichols

• Julia Lindsay

The election will determine the outcome for two seats of current board members, Scott Nichols and Nicole Jahn, whose terms expire. The newly-elected members will serve alongside Jessica Ekern, Michelle Stephens, Chris Williams, Lennette Brown, and Mathew Pilger.

Certification of election results and board reorganization will take place at the April Board of Education meeting.
