April 2, 2026 – Thursday afternoon, Eugene Field students had a fun MAP testing preparation assembly featuring a teacher-led skit, highlighting simple, practical ways to be ready for testing day.
Each staff member took on a different “title” during the skit—like “Little Miss No Sleep,” “Little Mister Late to School,” and “Little Miss Prepared”—bringing to life both helpful habits and common mistakes students can avoid. Through humor and relatable scenarios, students learned the importance of getting enough sleep, eating a good breakfast, arriving on time, staying focused, and being prepared.
The assembly was organized by school counselor Dr. Sam Porter, who helped bring the idea to life in a way that was both engaging and meaningful for students.
By turning preparation into something memorable and fun, Eugene Field is helping students feel confident and ready to do their best on MAP testing!
